Denver Bathroom Remodel—Choosing the Right Colors, Lights and More for Small Spaces

Renovating a small bathroom can be tricky. Color, lighting and placement are crucial when planning this type of Denver bathroom remodel. There are a few techniques and ideas to review as you plan to ensure your bathroom fits your personality and meets your needs.
- Color: Usually the rule of thumb for smaller spaces is to keep the colors light to make the room appear larger. Ideally, this is the easiest way to make your bathroom look larger. But that doesn’t mean you have to only choose light colors. If you have your heart set on a darker color, just be strategic about it. One of the easiest ways to avoid shadows is through adding lights to the ceiling. For those who use their bathroom to get ready in the morning, be sure to also but lighting around the mirror. One of the best ways is to add two lights on the side and one over the top. Many homeowners are putting LED lights behind their mirrors to provide a neat and clean look.
- Showers and Bathtubs: A popular way to make a bathroom look larger is to have tile that goes all the way to the ceiling in the shower, and glass or clear frame. Even better, choose a lighter color of tile. It will make the space appear larger as it will provide the feeling that the bathroom keeps going.
